I have heard this saying so many times over the last ten years and it makes me smile every single time knowing that they don't know the secrets I do.

Just a few short years ago I was a full-time locksmith living in Manchester England.
I like every other locksmith in Manchester was battling for the top of Google

If you answer questions in Google that nobody is asking, so nobody is answering them, you will find that you rank at the top of Google for the answers to those questions almost instantly and your keywords stick because there is no other competition
I found this was the case with nearly all of the 900 locations throughout Greater Manchester
I could do almost one-tenth the work I was doing for the major cities and get ten times the number of enquiries
I could literally:
- Write the content
- Add a few keywords
- Set a few headers
- Then add a page title
And I could rank in Google almost instantly and my rankings would stick
I discovered if I kept the sites local and focused on long content they would rank almost instantly without me doing any off-page SEO or link building
As soon as I figured this out I spent most of my days building page after page after page until I had hundreds of pages on every single website covering every single local area
This took months and months for me to complete but it worked brilliantly
